Enjoy a full-day private panoramic tour that combines the highlights of Athens with the breathtaking beauty of the Athenian Riviera and Cape Sounio.
After pickup from your hotel, we begin with a visit to the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch, where you’ll have approximately 20’ minutes to admire these iconic ancient monuments and take photos without entering the site.
Our next stop is the Panathenaic Stadium, the venue of the first modern Olympic Games, where we’ll spend about 20 minutes. We then continue to Syntagma Square to see the Hellenic Parliament and the Presidential Guard (Evzones) standing watch at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Leaving the city behind, we drive along the spectacular Athenian Riviera, enjoying panoramic views of the Saronic Gulf, charming seaside suburbs, and beautiful beaches. Our destination is Cape Sounio, home to the magnificent Temple of Poseidon, one of Greece’s most impressive archaeological sites, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea.
After exploring the site and taking in the unforgettable views, we’ll enjoy lunch at a traditional seaside taverna before returning comfortably to your hotel in Athens.

A great day begins since we will start our special one day tour with the most famous sites of Athens after Acropolis and then the famous Poseidon temple of Attica peninsula!
After pick up from your hotel we do a panoramic driving tour of Athens with stops at the city’s major landmarks. At selected locations, we will stop for approximately 10 minutes to take photos and enjoy the views. Please note that this tour does not include entry into any archaeological sites or monuments; all sightseeing is from the outside unless otherwise stated.
Our Athens City drive Tour starts from the Parliament and the Guards at the Unknown Soldier’s Tomb(15’). We continue to the University of Athens, the Academy, the Library (passing by for photos)and then we make a short stop at the Panathinaiko Stadium (15’) where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896 and at the Temple of Zeus & Hadrian’s Gate (15’).Then we will continue driving across the Athenian Riviera where almost one hour later we will reach the second most popular sightseeing of Athens,Cape Sounio and the great Temple of God Poseidon!
Cape Sounio is located 70 km southeastern of Athens, at the southernmost spot of Athens. Sounion is noted as the site of ruins of an ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, the God of the sea in classical Greek mythology. We stroll around the temple taking photos and admiring the amazing Aegean Sea ( 50’-60’).
Lunch on the coast and return at your hotel late in the afternoon. (approx. 7-8 hours tour).
