A Half day road trip from Athens center to Poseidon temple
Our experience begins with a drive along the coastline known as the Athenian Riviera and the southern suburbs. Passing through some of the uptown suburbs of Athens (Glyfada, Voula, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) and making a first stop at the Vouliagmeni Lake, a mineral – therapeutic – natural lake.
We will continue our drive along more isolate Saronic Gulf bringing us to be the archaeological site of Cape Sounio, the southeastern edge of the Attica peninsula.
Apart from the unique location and the archeological interest, Cape Sounio is also known for its breathtaking sunset and view of the Greek Islands. It is considered as one of the most romantic places in Greece.
Next on the menu, dinner. We will drive towards a traditional Greek tavern by the water which serves fresh fish straight from the sea. And after that a relaxing drive back to Athens.
