Itinerary at a Glance:

· Day 1 – Gondar to Sankaber (3,200 m):

Scenic drive from Gondar into the Simien Mountains. After a brief stop at the park headquarters, enjoy your first trek through the highlands, with excellent chances to encounter large troops of playful Gelada baboons. Overnight in Sankaber.

· Day 2 – Sankaber to Geech (3,600 m):

Trek through stunning landscapes, passing the mighty Jinbar Waterfall and traversing lush valleys. Arrive at Geech Camp in time to enjoy breathtaking sunset views over the jagged peaks. Overnight in Geech.

· Day 3 – Geech to Chennek (3,600 m):

A rewarding day of hiking along the edge of the escarpment. Spot endemic wildlife such as the Walia ibex and Ethiopian wolf. Visit iconic viewpoints like Imet Gogo and enjoy panoramic vistas of the surrounding valleys. Overnight in Chennek.

· Day 4 – Chennek to Gondar:

Morning wildlife viewing and a short scenic hike. After breakfast, depart by vehicle back to Gondar, with a stop for lunch and final views of the mountains.
