3 days Danakil Depression tour via Semera

Day 1. Addis-Semera-Afdera-Danakil Depression (HamadEla)

- Fly Addis-Semera with the morning flight (8:15am), we pick you up from Semera airport and drive to Afdera.

- After lunch in Afdera, we proceed driving to HamadEla.

- You will have a chance to swim in a salt pond.

- Visit:

• Camel caravans heading back from the salt mining area to HamadEla & highlands (if available)

• Sunset on Lake Asale/Karum.

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Overnight: Outside under the stars in HamadEla

Day 2. Danakil Depression (Dallol) - ErtaAle

- In the morning, visit:

• Dallol Volcano

• Salt Mountains (Canyons)

• Sulfur Lake

• Camel Caravans & Local Salt Mining (if available)

- Drive back to HamadEla, have lunch and proceed driving to ErtaAle.

- TREK (30-40 minutes - you can hire a Camel for ride, if interested) the top of the Erta Ale Mountain.

- Visit Erta Ale Volcano (Lava Lake) during the night.

- TREK (30 - 40 minutes) back to the camp.

Overnight: Outside/inside local huts

Day 3. Danakil Depression (ErtaAle) - Afdera - Semera -Addis

- Early morning second visit of Erta Ale Volcano (Lava Lake) (if interested).

- After breakfast, drive to Afdera. You can Swim in Lake Afrera & take a bath in hydrothermal springs.

- After lunch in Afder, proceed driving to Semera and transfer to Semera Airport to catch your noon (5 pm) flight back to Addis.
