All seasons 8-day Bosnia discovery tour from Sarajevo.

This tour is provided by Monterrasol Travel, a company that specializes in year-round multi-day private car tours in Bosnia and Herzegovina and other Balkan countries.

Day 1. After beginning our tour in Sarajevo, we will first travel to the Tunnel of Hope, a poignant reminder of the city's recent history and a symbol of its survival. Continuing our journey, we will come to Travnik to explore its imposing fortress overlooking the town and stroll along the picturesque riverfront. After a day of discovery, we will travel to the historic town of Jajce for our overnight stay.

Day 2. After an overnight in Jajce, we dedicate the day to exploring this magnificent town. We will explore its ancient fortress, wander through its well-preserved historical center (UNESCO Tentative List Site), and marvel at the unique beauty of the Jajce waterfall, where the Pliva River plunges directly into the town. We will also enjoy a peaceful walk in the nearby park before returning to our accommodation in Jajce for a second night.

Day 3. After 2 nights in Jajce, we travel to Kljuc to see its historic fortress, a key defensive structure in the region. From there, our journey continues to the city of Bihac, where we will explore its notable historical landmark. After a day of exploration, we will arrive in Bihac, where we will be accommodated for the next two nights.

Day 4. After an overnight in Bihac, we will venture into the pristine wilderness of Una National Park to explore its stunning parklands and crystal-clear waters. We will then travel to see the magnificent Strbacki buk waterfall, a true natural spectacle, followed by a visit to the scenic Martin Brod waterfall. After a day immersed in nature, we will return to our accommodation in Bihac for a second night.

Day 5. After 2 nights in Bihac, we travel to the vibrant city of Banja Luka, the administrative center of the Republika Srpska. Here, we will explore the impressive modern cathedral, discover the remnants of the old fortress, and even visit the local brewery to get a taste of the city's renowned beer culture. We will then settle into our accommodation in Banja Lja for the night.

Day 6. After an overnight in Banja Luka, our route takes us to the Ljubacke doline, an ethno village offering a glimpse into traditional rural life. Continuing south, we will visit the picturesque Krupa waterfall before journeying to the town of Bugojno, where we will check into our accommodation for the evening.

Day 7. After an overnight in Bugojno, we travel to Scit to explore its serene monastery and the fascinating Ethnographic museum, learning about local heritage. Our journey then brings us to the iconic city of Mostar. We will spend time exploring its vibrant historical center and gaze upon the famous Stari Most (Old Bridge) (UNESCO World Heritage Site), a masterpiece of Ottoman engineering. Afterward, we will arrive at our accommodation in Mostar for the next two nights.

Day 8. After an overnight in Mostar, we travel to Blagaj to see the remarkable Blagaj monastery (UNESCO Tentative List Site), built at the base of a cliff overlooking the source of the Buna river. On our way back to Sarajevo where the tour concludes, we will see the historic Konjic bridge.

Overall, with this tour you will visit 1 UNESCO World Heritage site and 2 sites from the UNESCO Tentative List.

We provide this tour year-round. We recommend you consider having a tour before or after the high season, when it is not so hot and not so crowded but all the sights and attractions are already or are still open. Especially, this applies to elderly people, who need to be careful with sun exposure and high temperatures.

Transportation is in a minivan with air conditioner and English speaking driver. Feel free to ask to stop whenever you need, for a nice image or some snack. We are very flexible.

This tour is available "on request". Before making any payment for your booking, we strongly advise you to contact us to check availability. The availability here is not real-time.

The price includes accommodation in 3-star hotels with breakfast. As a rule, we are going to stay in each place of accommodation only 1 night, so it makes no sense to pay there for lunch and dinner. Instead of that, let's enjoy local cuisine.

Accommodation upgrades to a centrally located 4-star hotel are possible; please contact us for that.

We will pick you up at any hotel or place, in Sarajevo or nearby. Drop-off is in Sarajevo, the same as pick-up, or upon request in another place. This tour is possible to arrange in the reverse direction upon request.

The service of a professional tour guide is not included, although the guiding will be provided by a person working with our company. This company's guide will be present with you all the time.

This tour accepts a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 people. The price of 1 person is for solo travelers wishing to take the tour as an exclusive solo tour.

A single supplement is mandatory; solo travelers must pay extra to have their private room (except when the tour is booked for 1 person).

This is an all-seasons tour and is available all year round. Your booking will be accepted if there is no less than 30 days before the start date.
