5-day Bosnia tour from Sarajevo

Day 1. We will depart from Sarajevo and explore the city's historical center (UNESCO Tentative List Site), a vibrant mosaic of Eastern and Western influences. We will visit the Sacred Heart Cathedral (Catholic), explore the Gazi Husrev-beg Heritage museum (Islamic), wander through the bustling Bascarsija old bazaar, and admire the elegant Sebilj fountain at the heart of the old town. We will stay overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 2. After staying in Sarajevo, we will travel to the poignant Tunnel of Hope museum, a preserved underground passage that served as a vital lifeline during the city's siege in the 1990s. We will then continue to see the iconic Konjic bridge from the 17th century, a beautiful example of Ottoman engineering spanning the Neretva River. We will then continue to see Mostar and will explore its famous historical center (UNESCO World Heritage Site), including the reconstructed 16th-century Stari Most (Old Bridge), a powerful symbol of reconciliation. We will stay in Mostar.

Day 3. After staying in Mostar, we will travel to Medjugorje and will explore the Medjugorje pilgrimage center, where we will attend mass and learn about the history of the apparitions. This day is dedicated to understanding the spiritual significance of this world-famous Catholic pilgrimage site, which has attracted millions of visitors since 1981. After that, we will return to Mostar for accommodation.

Day 4. After 2 nights in Mostar, we will travel again to Medjugorje for a deeper exploration of the pilgrimage center. By wish, we will visit the Apparition Hill, where the first visions of the Virgin Mary were reported. We will then continue to see the spectacular Kravica waterfalls, a natural amphitheater of cascades on the Trebizat River, ideal for swimming and photography. After that, we will return to Mostar for accommodation.

Day 5. After 3 nights in Mostar, we will travel to Blagaj and will come to explore the stunning Dervish monastery (Tekija) (UNESCO Tentative List Site), a 16th-century Sufi (Islamic) retreat dramatically built at the source of the emerald Buna River. We will then enjoy the peaceful scenery along the Blagaj river. Finally, we will return to Sarajevo, where our memorable journey concludes.

Overall, with this tour you will visit 1 UNESCO World Heritage site and 2 sites from the UNESCO Tentative List.

We provide this tour year-round. We recommend you consider having a tour before or after the high season, when it is not so hot and not so crowded but all the sights and attractions are already or are still open. Especially, this applies to elderly people, who need to be careful with sun exposure and high temperatures.

Transportation is in a minivan with air conditioner and English speaking driver. Feel free to ask to stop whenever you need, for a nice image or some snack. We are very flexible.

This tour is available "on request". Before making any payment for your booking, we strongly advise you to contact us to check availability. The availability here is not real-time.

The price includes accommodation in 3-star hotels with breakfast. As a rule, we are going to stay in each place of accommodation only 1 night, so it makes no sense to pay there for lunch and dinner. Instead of that, let's enjoy local cuisine.

Accommodation upgrades to a centrally located 4-star hotel are possible; please contact us for that.

We will pick you up at any hotel or place, in Sarajevo or nearby. Drop-off is in Sarajevo, the same as pick-up, or upon request in another place. This tour is possible to arrange in the reverse direction upon request.

The service of a professional tour guide is not included, although the guiding will be provided by a person working with our company. This company's guide will be present with you all the time.

This tour accepts a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6 people. The price of 1 person is for solo travelers wishing to take the tour as an exclusive solo tour.

A single supplement is mandatory; solo travelers must pay extra to have their private room (except when the tour is booked for 1 person).

This is an all-seasons tour and is available all year round. Your booking will be accepted if there is no less than 7 days before the start date.
