Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek - 8

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is another best trekking route for clients who don't have enough time to do another trekking route. In the trekking trail, you will start hiking either from Nayapul of Pokhara or Ulleri as the jeep goes up to Ulleri at the present.

If you start hiking from Nayapul then you will walk by the roadside with the shade of small trees and along the small Modi river. There is a checkpoint at Birethanti where you have to present your TIMS and ACAP Permit. Once you reach the Tikhedunga you will have to cross the Modi river through a suspension bridge and it will take you more than 2 hrs to reach up to Ulleri. This trekking trail is one of the hardest parts of the trek that you have to walk uphill.

The beautiful Gurung, Magar villages will make your trip more interesting and the local people with their own typical dress can make you more attractive. Once you pass through the village there are trekking trails that you have to walk through the jungle and the shade can make your walking at a good pace. During the Spring season if you trek in this region you will see all the jungle filled with reddish color because of Rhododendron and the waterfall.

When you reach Ghorepani if the weather is clear then you will see the panorama view of Mt. Dhaulagiri ranges on the west side, Annapurna south towards your forehead, Nilgiri can be seen as well.

Next morning you will have to wake up around 4;45 am and gear up to go to Poon Hill to see the sunrise which takes you max. 45min to 60 min. Annapurna Base camp can be the best option to do in another option.
