Next, you will board a boat and immerse yourself in the stunning natural scenery of the Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve, with its peaceful lagoons, majestic limestone mountains, mysterious caves, and diverse ecosystem. Quang Phu Cau Incense Village is one such village that specializes in making incense and has stood the test of time as a unique cultural beauty of Hanoi’s countryside.
Dating back to the 10th century, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is packed with ancient temples, fortress ruins, and fascinating historical stories from Vietnam’s early dynasties.
Meanwhile, Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve is a stunning example of Vietnam’s untouched wilderness, offering visitors the chance to immerse themselves in nature and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 08:30 The tour guide picks you up at your hotel or the central area of Hanoi and departs for Quang Phu Cau village. Upon arriving, you will begin to explore and learn about the traditional Vietnamese incense-making process with a history of more than 100 years. What's special is that incense makers have created a way to arrange incense bouquets into beautiful and colorful images. It's really interesting to have the opportunity to experience and take memorable photos.
11:00 Depart for Ninh Binh. On the way you will go through countryside and rice field- nice view from the car
12:30 Enjoy lunch at the restaurant
13:30 Get on the bus to visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - The capital of the Dinh and Le dynasties from 968 - 1009. The ancient capital is located in an area of 400 hectares, surrounded by rivers and stunning limestone mountains, creating strong natural defensive walls for the capital.
15:00 Continue to the boat excursion to explore the Van Long flooded area. With an area of 3,500 hectares, it is the largest flooded nature reserve in the Red River Delta. This place has become an attractive destination for tourists. by the charming, pristine landscape and typical ecosystem of the Red River Delta wetlands. Van Long Lagoon is considered a waveless bay and is recognized as Asia's most typical wetland conservation area.
Van Long has hundreds of species of birds from many places coming here to reside, creating a beautiful picture in the afternoon. In particular, this is also the habitat of the Delacour's langur, which is listed as a rare animal in Vietnam. To fully feel the peaceful atmosphere of Van Long in the afternoon, you will ride a bicycle along the dike with your guide.
