Best results are achieved using casting lures or live bait from rocky banks or boats, with peak seasons from December to March and June to October.

3-Day Fishing Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer and Top of the Falls. Depart Kampala/Entebbe for a 6-hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. In the afternoon, visit the top of the falls to view the Nile forcing through an 8m gorge before checking into a lodge. Arrange your fishing gears and be ready for next days epic fishing!
Day 2: Full Day Sport Fishing at the Falls. Begin with an early breakfast, then embark on a full-day fishing trip at the base of the Murchison Falls. Use boats or fish from rocky, scenic banks, aiming for the massive Nile perch, with packed lunch included. Optional: The evening includes a game drive to spot wildlife.
