3-Day Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Gorilla Trekking Activity

Day 1

Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

You will be picked from your hotel in Kampala early in the morning to depart for your gorilla trip in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Western Uganda. You will stop along the way for your lunch. The journey to Bwindi from Kampala is not boring, you will have a lot to spot, including the local vegetation, the various towns and villages, as well as places like the Mpambire Drum Makers and the Equator. Feel free to stop your safari vehicle at any place, any time for your Uganda photographic safaris.

Expect to reach at your Lodging in Bwindi, late in the afternoon. Here you will spend your first night at Buhoma Community Haven Lodge. It is a budget lodge located outside Bwindi National Park.

Dinner will be served at your Buhoma Community Haven Lodge where you will spend the overnight and relax getting ready for the Uganda Mountain Gorilla safari. This night you are spending a night in the Rainforest of Africa where mountain gorillas stay. Sometimes gorillas pay a visit to some of the camp sites within and around the park.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking

This morning you will have breakfast served early and assemble at the Headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for your briefing and meeting with park rangers who will lead escort you for your gorilla trek.

Then it is time off for your own jungle trekking in the mist experience. Trekking mountain gorillas through this magnificent and mysterious thick gorilla forest where there is a lot to spot out as you search for Mountain Gorillas. The fauna and flora, bird species, mammals, butterflies, primates will be most beautiful and only enhance this very special day.

The Mountain gorilla trek can involve some serious hiking and climbing but you have the chance to meet the Gentle Giants face to face, talking to them, observing them just a few meters from your group, take some photos of mothers feeding their babies, the gorillas doing their daily routine and you are there.

Day 3

Travel back to Kampala.

This will be your last day of your stay in Bwindi. After breakfast you will check out and start your journey where you will be dropped back to your hotel in Kampala. On the way you will stop at Mbarara town for lunch, then on to the Equator for picture taking and a formative talk and continue our drive to Kampala reaching your hotel in the evening.
