03 DAYS CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND BIGODI SWAMP WALK
SAFARI OVERVIEW
Your 3 days safari will take you to Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of the world known to host 13 primate species and while there you will participate in chimpanzee tracking where you will come across other smaller primates in the forest like the red colobus, black and white colobus, grey-cheeked Mangabey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. You will also undertake a community experience by visiting the Bigodi swamp for a nature walk with chances of seeing other smaller primates and beautiful birds. You will then transfer back to Entebbe to catch your flight back home or to the next destination.

DAY 01: PICK-UP AND TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK- APP. 6-7 HRS DRIVE.
After breakfast, you will have a short briefing from your guide about the safari if you didn’t have it the previous day. You will then depart for your scenic drive to the South-western part of the country. You will come across fruit markets, scenery of different topographies and diverse cultures along your journey. You will arrive in Fort Portal, dubbed “the tourism city” for hot lunch. Your lunch will be followed by a short drive to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving for afternoon relaxation and overnight.

DAY 02: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND BIGODI SWAMP WALK- KIBALE FOREST NP. CHIMPANZEE TRACKING TAKES ABOUT 3 HRS
After your early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kanyanchu Park headquarters in time for briefing. After briefing about the activity, you will be assigned a particular tracking group and game ranger. Shortly, you will enter the jungle with your ranger who will keep in touch with the monitoring team on ground to easily locate the chimpanzees. Also keep your head out for beautiful forest birds and other forest species. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will be given ample time to interact depending on their mood as the guide explains to you about their behaviour and that of the entire forest ecosystem. Later, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the Bigodi swamp walk and community experience. Among the activities to excite you here include local liquor making, weaving of baskets, cultural dances, and also paying a visit to the cultural doctor. You will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation and overnight.

DAY 03: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA-APP. 6-7 HRS DRIVE
After breakfast at leisure, you will checkout and transfer back to Kampala. You will drive through Fort Portal town as you embark on your journey to Kampala or Entebbe for your safe flight back home. Lunch will be in Kampala before drop off to your hotel or Entebbe for your flight back home.
End of service.
