The 6-Day Uganda Gorilla, Chimpanzee & Wildlife Safari is an unforgettable adventure designed to showcase Uganda’s incredible primates, diverse wildlife, spectacular landscapes, and rich natural heritage. Known as the “Pearl of Africa,” Uganda offers a unique combination of rainforest experiences and traditional safari activities within one exciting journey. This safari takes you to Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, three of Uganda’s most remarkable destinations.

Your adventure begins with a scenic journey to Kibale Forest National Park, widely recognized as one of the best places in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. The forest is home to large communities of chimpanzees as well as several other primate species, including red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. During chimpanzee tracking, you will walk through the lush rainforest accompanied by experienced guides and trackers while searching for habituated chimpanzee groups. The experience offers excellent opportunities for wildlife observation and photography.

The safari continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most popular wildlife destinations. The park features savannah plains, forests, wetlands, lakes, and the dramatic Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. A game drive offers opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, warthogs, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and other antelope species. The park is also famous for its diverse birdlife.

One of the highlights of the Queen Elizabeth experience is a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. From the water, you can observe large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous waterbirds along the banks. The cruise provides a different perspective of the park and is ideal for wildlife viewing and photography.

The journey then proceeds to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO-recognized biodiversity hotspot and one of the world's premier destinations for mountain gorilla trekking. The ancient rainforest provides a spectacular setting for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. On the trekking day, you will hike through the forest with trained guides and trackers in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend a designated period observing their behavior, social interactions, feeding, and movements in their natural habitat.

Depending on your itinerary and available time, the safari may also include a cultural encounter or community experience around Bwindi, providing insight into the traditions and daily lives of local communities.

Throughout the safari, you will travel in a comfortable safari vehicle with an experienced English-speaking driver-guide.
