Day 1: Flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park – Afternoon Game Drive

Upon arrival at Mikumi Airstrip, your friendly safari guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you directly into the national park for your first exciting game drive. Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, set off for a full day exploring the diverse landscapes of Mikumi National Park. Your experienced safari guide will take you through different wildlife habitats, including the famous Mkata Floodplain, one of the best places in Tanzania to observe animals in their natural environment.

Throughout the day, you'll have excellent chances to encounter lions resting beneath trees, elephants moving through the bush, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hartebeests, elands, waterbucks, hippos, crocodiles, and many other species. Bird lovers will also enjoy spotting colorful kingfishers, African fish eagles, hornbills, and numerous other birds found throughout the park.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic location before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, return to your lodge to relax and share stories of the day's incredible wildlife sightings.

Day 3: Sunrise Safari, Hippo Pool Visit & Afternoon Game Drive

Today begins with an early morning game drive, one of the best times to experience the African bush. The cooler temperatures encourage wildlife to become more active, increasing your chances of spotting lions, hyenas, jackals, and, if luck is on your side, the elusive leopard.

After breakfast, continue your safari with a visit to Mikumi's famous Hippo Pool, where you can watch hippos relaxing in the water while crocodiles bask along the shoreline. The area is also home to a variety of water birds, making it a wonderful stop for photography and birdwatching.

Following a delicious lunch, spend the afternoon exploring more remote sections of the park in search of additional wildlife. Every game drive is unique, offering new opportunities to witness the incredible diversity of Tanzania's wildlife before returning to your lodge for your final evening in Mikumi.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive – Flight Back to Zanzibar

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and transfer to Mikumi Airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, our representative will transfer you back to your beach hotel, bringing your unforgettable 4 Days Mikumi Safari from Zanzibar to a perfect conclusion.
