2 Days Serengeti Safari from Zanzibar

Day 1: Fly from Zanzibar to Serengeti – Full Day Game Drive

Morning: Zanzibar to Serengeti

Your safari begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to the airport. You will board a domestic flight to Serengeti National Park, which usually takes about 2–3 hours depending on routing.

During the flight, you can enjoy aerial views of Tanzania’s landscapes, including villages, lakes, and vast savannahs. Upon landing at the Serengeti airstrip, your professional safari guide will be waiting to welcome you and assist with your luggage.

Afternoon: Game Drive in Serengeti

After a short safari briefing, you will begin your first game drive in Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, cheetahs, hyenas, and many antelope species.

Your experienced guide will drive through different areas of the park, stopping to observe animals and explain their habits and behaviors. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a safe designated site inside the park, allowing you to relax and take in the natural surroundings.

Evening: Dinner and Overnight

In the late afternoon, you will drive to your selected lodge or tented camp. As the sun sets, you may still spot animals along the way. After checking in, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and relax in a peaceful safari atmosphere.

You can listen to the sounds of nature, such as birds and distant animal calls, making your overnight stay a true African safari experience.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Fly Back to Zanzibar

Early Morning: Sunrise Game Drive

Wake up early for a morning game drive, which is one of the best times to see wildlife. Predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs are often active in the early hours, while herbivores gather to feed.

The cool morning air and golden sunrise over the Serengeti plains create excellent conditions for photography and wildlife viewing. This game drive is often a highlight of the safari.

Late Morning: Transfer to Airstrip

After the morning game drive, return to the camp for breakfast. Once refreshed, you will drive toward the airstrip for your departure. This transfer also acts as a final game drive, offering another chance to see animals before leaving the park.

Afternoon: Fly Back to Zanzibar

Board your flight back to Zanzibar in the late morning or afternoon. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be transferred back to your hotel. This marks the end of your short but memorable Serengeti safari adventure.
