MARANGU CULTURAL TOUR
This Marangu day trip is different from Marangu route Day Hike
While in Marangu one can learn more about the Chagga Tribe Culture by visiting traditional Chagga houses made of straw roofing. Also, the traditional food made by bananas and local brew known as Mbege can be tasted. At the waterfalls, you can even refresh in cool and crystal clean water.Our Marangu Culture adventure starts the Moment you land at Kilimanjaro, you will be met by our staff who will provide the essential information regarding the tour before you begin the journey to Marangu Village

- Marangu Falls Kinukamori
Starting at 8.30 am, a thirty-minute drive from Moshi will take us to Marangu Village, where we will begin our short 20-minute hike to Kinukamori Waterfall.
- Kinukamori Falls: Kinukamori is located in Chagga Land in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Its crystal-clear water originates in the natural springs of volcanic rocks on Kilimanjaro.
You will be able to visit Kinukamori on top and bottom. This picturesque spot is great for swimming or just relaxing and enjoying the refreshing breeze from the waterfall. Along the way you will pass through beautiful forest, past tall Eucalyptus trees among many others.
- Local coffee plantation tour: You'll pay a visit to a locally owned and operated coffee plantation to learn more about the process that takes the beans from the tree to our cups. Try your hand at manually grinding and roasting beans, and reward your hard work with some delicious, fresh coffee.
- Chaga tunnels tour: You'll venture down into the inky black darkness of the tunnels in which Chaga sheltered when the Maasai would raid from the lowlands. Your guide will guide you unerringly through the underground labyrinth as he describes the days of guerilla warfare and how the people survived underground for so long.
