3 Days 2 Nights Explore West Usambara Mountains Lushoto

This walk will take you through nice landscapes, natural forests where you will explore and learn about several species of trees, flowers and shrubs. Admire the rich vegetation, colourful birds and butterflies, monkeys. Walk in the villages and experience the locals life. Take break and have picnic lunch. Keep walking through the villages to Lushoto village and spend the night in the Lukozi Village.

Day 1: Lushoto to Lukozi Village This walk will take you through nice landscapes, natural forests where you will explore and learn about several species of trees, flowers and shrubs. Admire the rich vegetation, colourful birds and butterflies, monkeys. Walk in the villages and experience the locals life. Take break and have picnic lunch. Keep walking through the villages to Lushoto village and spend the night in the Lukozi Village

Day 2: Lukozi to Rangwi;After breakfast the walk will start again through the villages and settlements of mbugu and pare tribes. Through local farms also will pass through nice landscapes, viewpoints, mountain high peaks to Rangwi village and accommodate in the nuns (sisters) convent, enjoy and experience night life in the village with locals.

Day 3: Rangwi to Mtae;Walk through the village of Emau and climb Shagayu peak about 2000 m above sea level where you Will have a nice view over usambara beautiful scenery; Keep walking through shagayu pine forest to Goka village, then to Sunga village and stop for lunch (hot meal)After lunch keep walking to the village of Mabughai and visit pottery women and learn how they mould pott using clay soil and walk down to Mtae village while enjoying the nice view of Pare mountains and lake Kalimau. Go for sunset around 6:30pm
