Experience the Roof of Africa on an exciting 4-day Mount Kilimanjaro climb via the Marangu Route, famously known as the “Coca-Cola Route.” This route is a popular choice for travelers with limited time because it offers mountain hut accommodation, well-established trails, beautiful scenery, and a direct route to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres.
The adventure takes you through several distinct environments, from the lush montane rainforest to the alpine desert, before your challenging midnight summit attempt. On the final ascent, you will climb toward Uhuru Peak, where you can enjoy breathtaking views from the highest point in Africa before descending to Horombo Hut and eventually returning to Moshi.

🌿 Day 1: Marangu Gate → Mandara Hut
After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate for registration and begin your trek through the beautiful rainforest. Enjoy the scenic trail as you climb toward Mandara Hut, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
🌄 Day 2: Mandara Hut → Horombo Hut
Continue through the rainforest into the moorland zone, with beautiful views of Kilimanjaro’s surrounding landscapes. Trek toward Horombo Hut, your overnight accommodation.
🏔️ Day 3: Horombo Hut → Kibo Hut
After breakfast, continue across the alpine desert toward Kibo Hut, the final base before your summit attempt. Rest and prepare for the challenging night climb to Uhuru Peak.
🌅 Day 4: Kibo Hut → Uhuru Peak → Horombo Hut → Marangu Gate
Begin the summit climb around midnight toward Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Reach the summit around sunrise and enjoy breathtaking views from the Roof of Africa. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Horombo Hut for a short rest, then continue down to Marangu Gate, where you will meet your transfer back to Moshi.
