Named after the legendary British explorer Selous Game Reserve was founded as a reserve in 1905. It later expanded by include the traditional elephant migration routes. Today renamed as Nyerere National Park it covers an area three times the size of the Serengeti National Park and twice the size of Belgium.

DAY 1.DAR ES SALAAM AND NYERERE NATIONAL PARK
Pick up from Dar es Salaam city and proceed to Nyerere national park we stop at Kibiti for getting lunch, Late afternoon, boat safaris along the mighty Rufiji river, Dinner and overnight at Mloka safari lodge. You will discover Rufiji river by boat encounter hippos and crocodiles in good number. Some 350 species of bird have been recorded in selous game reserve. These are typical of Miombo woodlands, and the bird life supported by Rufiji swamp lands is particular interest

DAY 2. GAME DRIVE IN NYERERE NATIONAL PARK. ( SELOUS)
You will have full day in Nyerere national park exploration of the nature by 4 wheel drive vehicle dinner and over night at stay at Mloka safari lodge. The Nyerere national park (selous) is the largest in Africa, covering 53,600 squares Kilometer. The reserve gets its name from the hunter and explorer Frederick Courtney Selous. He was killed here during World War 1. Selous is famous for elephants; other species commonly seen are Lions, Wild dogs, Buffalo, bush back, Impalas elands, baboons, zebras, giraffes. And so many animals. Excursions with 4*4 vehicle will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of vast park.
