The park offers a wide variety of game viewing opportunities and bird watching. Also, you can experience Maasai cultural tour. The park is also decorated by its superbly scenic plains and baobabs and it is home to various wild animals and birds species. Get adventure and enjoy Mikumi National Park, the closest Park to Dar es Salaam and it is also the closest to Zanzibar Island. Day 1: Drive to Mikumi
Meet your driver guide and depart to Mikumi National Park, hot lunch in Morogoro. Afternoon game drives in the park. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Camp.
Vuma Hill Tented Camp is set in the spacious hillside of Mikumi National Park, overlooking the Mkata plains and surrounding mountains. Each tent is designed to give you privacy and the comfort you desire with private bathrooms and hot water showers inside each tent along with custom made furniture.
Day 2: Game drive and visit Maasai culture
Full day game drive in the park with packed lunch. Afternoon visit Maasai Village to enjoy cultural tour. Return to the Camp for dinner and overnight
Mikumi National Park abuts the northern border of Africa's biggest game reserve - the Selous – and is transected by the surfaced road between Dar es Salaam and Iringa. It is thus the most accessible part of a 75,000 square km (47,000 square mile) tract of wilderness that stretches east almost as far as the Indian Ocean. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the popular centre piece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains.
