The drive takes you through the beautiful landscapes of the Morogoro Region, where you'll pass traditional villages, rolling hills, mountain scenery, and local farms. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to experience Tanzania's countryside and witness everyday life in rural communities before arriving at Mikumi National Park around lunchtime.
After enjoying lunch and a short break, your first exciting game drive begins. Mikumi National Park is famous for its vast Mkata Floodplain, a wildlife-rich area often compared to the famous Serengeti because of its open grasslands and abundant animals. As you explore the park, you may encounter lions resting in the shade, large elephant herds crossing the plains, graceful giraffes browsing acacia trees, and zebras grazing alongside buffaloes and wildebeests.
