Mikumi National Park is one of Tanzania’s (and perhaps even one of East Africa’s) most underrated wildlife destinations. It is often compared to the world-famous Serengeti National Park in the country’s north. That’s partly because of the sheer number of animals you can see while you’re in Mikumi, and also because of the wide-open landscapes of Mikumi’s floodplains. But Mikumi gets only a small fraction of visitor numbers compared with the Serengeti, which can make for a truly magical experience. The park is also very easy to get to from Dar es Salaam, making it the perfect southern Tanzanian safari destination.

Day 1
Dar es salaam to Mikumi National Park
Pick up from the airport, hotel, or ferry, and drive to SGR station for your train to Morogoro region approximately a 1 to 2 hours. On arrival our driver guide will pick you to Mikumi National park for late morning game to afternoon. After having hot lunch you will proceed with the game drive up to late evening then drive to Camp bastian for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2
Game drive + Maasai village
After breakfast, we start on a day game drive to spot animals in Mikumi national park. One of Mikumi features is that it's stretched across a big plain, so you have the ability to spot a lot of animals. Mikumi National Park host animals like lion, elephant, buffalo, impala, zebras and many other wild animals. Enjoy your lunch at the picnic campsites in Mikumi national park after lunch we will drive back to camp bastian for little relax then around 4 you will go to visit maasai village up to late evening then drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Mikumi to Dar es salaam
We'll have an early morning breakfast, and afterward will drive to Morogoro SGR station. For your second train to Dar es salaam.
On arrival in Dar es Salaam our drive will take you from station to Airport. Hotel or ferry for your boat to Zanzibar.
