Mikumi National Park, situated in Morogoro area, in the South of Tanzania, is the most open park from Dar Es Salaam, the business capital of Tanzania. The park takes its name from the National language "Kiswahili" for the Borassus palms (Borassusflabellifer) which once developed there in bounty in the fields that encompass the stream Mkata. The park imparts one biological system to Selous, making animals like (elephants, bison, and Zebras) relocate to and from the northern piece of the save into the park. DAY 1: Venture from Dar-es-Salaam to Mikumi National Park
Rise early before dawn and venture to Mikumi from Dar es Salaam for a full day of extraordinary wildlife viewing. Plan on being on the road by 6:00am in order to arrive at the gate in time for a full day of wildlife viewing. You will first stop by the growing town of Morogoro, set beside the Uluguru Mountains, for breakfast before continuing on to Mikumi. While small, Mikumi plays a critical role as part of a greater ecosystem with the Selous Game Reserve. It's common to see gazelle, wildebeest, giraffe, elephant, and many other iconic African animals, including lion. After a morning in search of such wildlife, you will enjoy a boxed lunch beside a hippo pool. Continue the adventure through the late afternoon and until the early evening when you will arrive at the Campsite.

DAY 2: An Early Morning Safari before Your Return to Dar
Enjoy the songs of birds as you rise with the dawn and prepare for an early morning safari. After an early breakfast at your camp site, you will head out to search for predators on the hunt and follow other movements of wild animals in the morning, when many are the most active. After enjoying the final moments of your morning safari, you will head back to Dar-es-Salaam, where we can transfer you to your hotel or another location as needed. Enjoy Tanzania’s wonders and the rest of your stay!
