Itinerary of the 10 Days Guided Wildebeest Great Migration Safari Holiday: DAY 1 - Arrive in Kilimanjaro Airport - On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. - You’ll be staying at the Arusha Coffee Lodge which is a delightful sanctuary of aromas, gourmet food and vibrant gardens located on the expansive grounds of a verdant coffee plantation. DAY 2 - Head to the Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, you depart for Tarangire National Park arriving at your lodge for lunch at Tarangire Treetops Lodge. - After lunch, you proceed for an afternoon game drive coming back to the lodge later in the evening. With the natural beauty of the hills and dry river beds begging to be explored, you can enjoy guided walking safaris. - Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Treetops Lodge. - Meal plan - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. DAY 3 - Tarangire National Park - Morning and evening game drive in Tarangire National Park. - Tarangire National Park was named after the Tarangire River, which lures thousands of plains game to its banks. - Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Treetops lodge. - Meal plan - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. DAY 4 - Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro - After breakfast, you depart for Manyara National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch. - In the afternoon, you continue to your lodge in Karatu the Manor Ngorongoro. - With its luxurious cottages and magnificent Manor House, it brings “old-world” opulence to a green and lush setting. - Dinner and overnight at the lodge. - Meal plan - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. DAY 5 - Ngorongoro - After breakfast, we go to the morning game drive in the park. - Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most breathtakingly impressive sights to behold in Africa. Eighteen kilometers in diameter, the crater is a caldera formed at a time of the volcanic eruption, and now home to an abundance of wildlife. - Whether standing on the lip or driving through the grassy-plains inside, Ngorongoro Crater is magnificent from any angle. DAY 6 - Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, you depart on a game drive en-route to Serengeti national park arriving in time for lunch at Serengeti Pioneer Camp. - Afternoon game drive is planned in the park coming back to the camp later in the evening. - Serengeti Pioneer Camp is ideally situated in the Southern Serengeti and it offers a good access to the annual wildebeest migration corridor and the ‘Big Five’ with sweeping views overlooking Moru Kopjes, Lake Magadi and the endless plains. - Meal plan - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. DAY 7 - Serengeti National Park - Morning and evening game drives are planned in the park. - Large prides of lions laze in the long grasses; plentiful families of elephants feed on acacia bark and trumpet to each other across the plains, while giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, eland and the whole range of African wildlife present themselves in awe-inspiring numbers. DAY 8 - Serengeti Pioneer Camp - Serengeti Explorer Camp - After breakfast, you depart on a game drive en-route to your second camp in Serengeti the Serengeti Explorer Camp arriving in time for lunch. - After lunch, we have another afternoon game drive coming back to the camp in the evening. - Meal plan - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. - Serengeti Explorer Camp is strategically located to be in the best locations for game viewing and following the herds of the Migration. DAY 9 - Explore Serengeti National Park -After breakfast, enjoy another game drive following the migration route coming back to the camp at lunchtime. - The great diversity of Serengeti wildlife is also evident here look for buffalo, hippopotamus, elephant, giraffe, antelope, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelle, lions, and in the season the spectacular migration of the wildebeest. - In the late afternoon, we venture out in another game drive. DAY 10 - Serengeti National Park - Arusha - After breakfast, you are transferred to Seronera airstrip for the scheduled flight to Arusha. - On arrival, you are provided lunch in Arusha before your transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport.
