The Ngorongoro and Serengeti safaris in Tanzania are a great way to see a variety of animals, landscapes, and natural wonders. The Ngorongoro has Crater Highlands with deep greens and blues, and is home to lions, hyenas, buffalo, elephants, and flamingos. The Serengeti has grassland plains in the southeast, and is home to many major safari animals. Both safaris have similar activities, including game drives, nature walks, bird watching, and hot air balloon safaris.

Pick up from Moshi or Arusha and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for game drives. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos as well as prides of lions that include the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see include leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. In the late afternoon drive to St. Catherine Monastery or similar to enjoy your evening.

Head out after breakfast for a drive to Serengeti National park. The word “Serengeti” is derived from the Maasai language meaning “endless plain” en-route to Serengeti, you can choose to visit a Maasai village, a perfect place to explore the Maasai culture and to even participate in some cultural activities. Later on, enjoy a game drive en route to your camp. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildebeest Camp or similar.

After breakfast, venture into the Serengeti’s wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, enjoy this world's heritage site, where the earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free! In the late evening, go to the Serengeti Wildebeest Camp or similar for rest, dinner, and overnight.
