Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha you’ll be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel, enjoy the gardens, or explore the town on your own. Arusha is a peaceful town at the base of Mount Meru and a great starting point for any safari.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your safari officially begins. You’ll meet your guide and drive about 2.5 hours southwest to Tarangire National Park. This park is especially known for large elephant families and many types of birds, but you can also spot lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and sometimes leopards.
