3 Days - Explore Tarangire Park. This short safari will take you to Tarangire National Park to enjoy for game viewing of huge herds of elephants and the landscape is of particular interest too, due to the high number of scenic baobab trees.

The Tarangire National Park is known as a wonderful birding destination and also features large numbers of game, particularly during the dry season, when the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the area. The landscape is of particular interest too, due to the high number of scenic baobab trees. From July to November the Tarangire River is a magnet for migratory animals such as wildebeest, zebra, eland, Coke's hartebeest, gazelle, buffalo and elephant – of which there are more than you can imagine. Lions are quite easily spotted at this time, as well.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Our driver will pick you from Arusha Airport (at 8am), then transfer to Tarangire National Park with boxed lunch. Arrive in Tarangire for a game drive.
Tarangire is the third largest national park in Tanzania and sanctuary for an exceptionally large elephant population. The majestic baobabs are an interesting feature of the park, eclipsing the animals that feed under them. The animals are concentrated along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent source of water in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife, including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephants. Leave the park around 5pm then settling at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge before dinner and overnight. All meals included.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Breakfast at the lodge then depart for a full day game drive to explore this beautiful National park with boxed lunch. Beware of the large herds of elephants for which the park is famous! Dinner and overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park - Transfer to Arusha
Leisurely breakfast at the lodge then leave Tarangire around 10am and transfer to Arusha. Drop in Arusha before 1pm
