Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park - Karatu
Your group safari starts with morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha at around 7:30 AM. You’ll drive about 2.5 hours southwest to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its large elephant population, scenic baobab trees, and many animals gathering near the Tarangire River. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. Keep an eye out for lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, buffalo, and many species of birds. In the late afternoon, the group will leave the park and head to Karatu, a small town in the highlands near Ngorongoro.
