Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide who will assist with your luggage and brief you about your upcoming adventure. You will then be transferred to the beautiful town of Arusha, located at the foot of Mount Meru and known as the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. After checking into your lodge, you can relax and recover from your international flight while enjoying the peaceful surroundings and pleasant climate. Depending on arrival time, you may explore the town, relax by the lodge gardens, or prepare for the exciting safari days ahead.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park Game Drive

After breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a park famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The drive to the park takes you through Maasai villages and scenic landscapes before entering the park for a full day game drive. Tarangire is particularly rich in wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many species of antelope. During the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes the main water source attracting thousands of animals, creating spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park while continuing your safari adventure before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park Game Drive

Today you journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. The drive takes you through the beautiful highlands and across the vast plains that give the Serengeti its name, meaning “endless plains.” As you enter the park, the landscape opens dramatically with rolling savannah stretching to the horizon. Along the way you will begin your first Serengeti game drive where you may encounter lions resting in the grass, cheetahs scanning the plains for prey, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing peacefully. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you will arrive at your lodge inside the Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti Full-Day Game Drive

Today is dedicated to exploring more of the incredible Serengeti National Park with a full-day game drive. Early morning is the best time to spot predators when lions, leopards, and hyenas are most active. Your guide will take you across different areas of the park searching for wildlife while sharing fascinating knowledge about the ecosystem and animal behavior. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the world-famous Great Migration where millions of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. After a picnic lunch in the wilderness, the game drive continues through the afternoon before returning to your lodge for dinner under the African sky.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

After breakfast, you will depart the Serengeti and drive toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most extraordinary wildlife destinations in Africa. Descending approximately 600 meters into the crater floor, you will enter a natural wildlife sanctuary filled with grasslands, forests, lakes, and an incredible variety of animals. The crater is home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, flamingos, and even the rare black rhinoceros. Because of the crater’s enclosed ecosystem, wildlife viewing here is exceptional year-round. After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, you will continue your game drive before heading to your lodge in the Ngorongoro area for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Flight to Zanzibar

After breakfast you will transfer to the airport for your scenic flight to the exotic island of Zanzibar. As you arrive, the atmosphere changes from safari adventure to tropical paradise. You will be transferred to your beach resort where palm trees, white sand beaches, and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean create a relaxing environment. The remainder of the day is free for you to unwind on the beach, swim in the warm ocean, or simply enjoy the peaceful island surroundings.

Day 7: Zanzibar Beach Relaxation

Today is a full day to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar. Zanzibar’s coastline is known for its coral reefs and vibrant marine life, making it a perfect destination for ocean lovers. The relaxed island atmosphere allows you to fully unwind after your safari adventure.

Day 8: Stone Town Tour & Spice Tour

Today you will explore the cultural and historical heart of Zanzibar with a guided tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its narrow winding streets, carved wooden doors, bustling markets, and rich history influenced by Arab, Persian, Indian, and European cultures. After exploring Stone Town’s landmarks, the journey continues to one of Zanzibar’s famous spice farms where you will discover why the island is often called the “Spice Island.” During the spice tour you will see, smell, and taste various spices such as cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and tropical fruits while learning about their traditional uses.

Day 9: Zanzibar Leisure Day

Enjoy another relaxing day in Zanzibar at your own pace. Many visitors choose to experience a sunset dhow cruise, which offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean as the sun sets over the horizon. This day allows you to fully appreciate the beauty and serenity of the island before your journey comes to an end.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your departure flight.
