Soweto is a historical township. This was the heart of the struggle during the times of apartheid. this was the home to most of the activists. Today, it stands as the home to a number of museums including the Hector Peterson memorial and the Nelson Mandela museum. You will also enjoy learning about the different cultural groups living in Soweto, their food, dance and day to day lives.
