The Bran Castle Tour & Rasnov Fortress - Day trip from Brasov will start in Brasov's old town square where your guide will be waiting for you. First bit is Rasnov fortress, build in the 1st century BC by the Dacians. It was known for almost 2 centuries under the name of Comidava name changed by the Emperor Trajan in 106 AD to Cumidava, after he conquered this part of Europe.
Today's structure was build in the 15th century on top of a Teutonic military fortress from the 13th century. Because of its great position was sacked one time only once, the enemies using sort of a Trojan Horse situation.
Second bit is Bran Castle, one of the most important Romania's land marks, and by far the most visited touristic attraction in Romania. Your day will end with a short walk around Brasov's old town square.
