The Llanganuco Lakes are situated in the Cordillera Blanca, in the Andes of Peru, located at 3850masl, the turquoise water from the glaciers of Huascaran and Huandoy, these lakes are visited by lots of tourists having easy access on it. this tours runs along the valley called callejon de Huaylas a valley formed by Rio Santa, aproxiamtely 180km from south to north, where the east side is conformed by the range of the Cordiller Blanca and in the west side the chain of the Black mountain.

Depart at 9am, takes place from our private tour bus station in our office in Huaraz, depart north direction to Llanganuco Lakes, which are located between the mountains of Huascaran and Huandoy, tour starts in Huaraz. Passing by several typical villages appreciating the beautiful white mountains of Huandoy, Huascaran, Hualcan, Copa and others. You can make a photo-stop from the various viewing points on the way. continue to Carhuaz 2650masl, Yungay the buried city holds history; a 7-degree earthquake took place in 31 May 1970 at 3:20pm, pieces of the Huascaran mountain’s north peak broke off and caused avalanche of mud and ice and in 6 seconds destroyed Yungay province. guided visit will take you around one hour, then start ascending the dusty road up to Llanganuco Lakes. start visiting the lakes Orconcocha and bird watching, Chinacocha Lake, here take alternative activities such as sailing with small boats, then continue waking along the nicest trail of Maria Josefa full of vegetation, where at the end the bus will be waiting and take to the countryside typical restaurant for lunch by their own, We come back the same way to Yungay then drive back to Huaraz, arriving at around 6pm to our terminal of Bus Station.
