Departure from your hotel around 8am for the city of Nizwa, one of the most historical city and Oman’s cultural capital.
Visit the powerful Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. Then, visit the Souq, a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs.
From Nizwa, have a drive to reach the green mountains, Jebel Akhdar. You will be surprised by the temperate cool climate and the typically laid out terrace style along the slops of mountains. You will visit the villages of Saiq, Al Ain and Wadi Bani Habib which is a old houses village. From these villages, you will enjoy a spectacular view over the mountains and wadis. During spring time (March to May), you will have the chance to see the rose blooming season, when the pink Damask roses cover the mountainside. In the late afternoon, drive back to Muscat.
