Patan City Day Tour
Patan City, also known as Lalitpur and meaning "the city of fine arts," is located about 7 kilometers to the south of Kathmandu core. It is enclosed by 4 stupas that are thought to have been erected by Emperor Ashoka in the third century AD. The emphasis of this tour is Patan Durbar Square, which is home to ancient palaces and temples that offer an architectural feast with a far greater concentration of temples per square meter. You will feel as though Patan has been unveiled before you as an open museum, showcasing intricately carved windows, intrinsic roof struts, statues of gods and goddesses, and temples designed in the shape of pagodas. The Krishna Temple was built by Kind Siddhi Narsingh Malla.
