Nagarkot - Chagunarayan Sunrise Hike is a one-day hiking program that is specifically tailored for individuals who would like to enjoy a nature stroll accompanied by a breathtaking sunrise vista.
Your hotel is the starting point for the Nagarkot - Changunarayan Sunrise Hike. Our driver and guide will pick you up from your accommodation at 4 a.m. and transport you to the major viewpoint atop Nagarkot Hill. At 2,195 meters above sea level, Nagarkot Hill is one of the most well-known picturesque locations in the Bhaktapur region.Sunrise views of the magnificent Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Everest, Annapurna, and Ganesh, are captivating from Nagarkot hill. Nagarkot Hill is around a two-hour private car ride from Thamel, situated 33 kilometers east of Kathmandu. In addition, Nagarkot Hill provides stunning views over Nagarkot Village, the entire Kathmandu Valley, and the lush, dense forest. Following the breathtaking views, we'll head back to the parking lot, where we can have a traditional Nepalese breakfast before driving to Telkot, where the hike begins.
Nagarkot Sunrise Hike: The Changunarayan trail winds through verdant farmland, tiny settlements, and thick forests while offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The Nagarkot Changunarayan Hike is so simple that even young people and the elderly can participate. Given that Changu Narayan Temple is the oldest in Nepal and is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is situated in the Bhaktapur district's Changu village. The pagoda-style temple was constructed in 3500 AD by the Lichhavi Dynasty. Lord Vishnu is the patron of this temple. This temple's pillars have a variety of artwork depicting gods and goddesses, all crafted from locally available wood kinds.
There's a significant temple named Chinnamasta just next to Changu Narayan, where people used to sacrifice various animals, including ducks, chickens, male goats, lambs, and many more, in order to have their wishes granted. Adjacent to the slope runs the Manahara River. The Temple features four gates that lead into the inner courtyard. On either side of the entryway are life-sized representations of various animals, including griffins, elephants, buffalo, and lions. Locals claim that you can see the Kathmandu valley's complete cultural development when you look at the Changu Narayan temple. It also provides a breathtaking perspective of the whole Kathmandu valley and gorgeous snow-capped mountains.

Day 1: Early Morning drive to nagarkot to view the sunrise and hike to Chagunarayan
Early in the morning at around 4 am (depends on sunrise time) we shall pick you up from your hotel and drive to Nagarkot sunrise view point. Nagarkot is located 32 km east from Kathmandu approximately an hour of driving. You’ll explore the breathtaking views you’ll drive to Telkot and take a hike to Changunarayan Temple, approx. 3 hours of walk. You’ll explore temple along with the culture and tradition of locals. Then we return back to your hotel.
4:30 AM : Drive to Nagarkot.
5:30 AM : Arrives Nagarkot.
5:30 to 6:30 AM : Sunrise view
6:30 to 8:30 AM : Breakfast and roaming around
8:30 to 11:30 AM : Hiking from Nagarkot to Changu Narayan Temple.
11:30 to 2:00 PM : Visit around Changu Narayan temple and lunch
