Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. Poon Hill trek is a short and comparatively easier trek due to lower altitude. It is also often termed as “family trek”.
You also get to interact with locals to learn about their culture and lifestyles. The settlements we pass through this trek are mostly dominated by Gurung and Magar community.
The Ghandruk village is entirely a Gurung village where you can also visit the Gurung Museum.

Itinerary
- Visited Places:
Itinerary of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek: DAY 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu: - One of our staffs will pick you up at the airport with your name and our company name on a board. He will accompany to your hotel where you can rest and prepare for further trip. DAY 2 - Kathmandu Sightseeing - Today, we take a tour of Kathmandu city and along the way, we buy any trekking gear or items that you may need. We visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath & Boudhanath. DAY 3 - Drive to Pokhara: - After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara which takes about 7 hours from Kathmandu. We stay the nighta hotel in Pokhara. You can visit Lakeside area in the evening after checking in at the hotel. DAY 4 - Drive to Nayapul & Trek to Tikhedhunga: - After having early breakfast, we drive early from Pokhara to Nayapul. Nayapul is 2 hours drive from Pokhara from where we start our trek. Our destination for the day, Tikhedhungga is about 4 hours trek from Nayapul and is 1520m above the sea level. DAY 5 - Trek to Ghorepani: - Ghorepani is about 6-7 hours trek from Tikhedhungga. Ghorepani trek is the scenic trek, you will get to explore the natural beauties and Gurung culture in the Ghorepani area. DAY 6 - Hike to Poon Hill & Back + Trek to Tadapani: - Early morning hike takes you to Poon Hill from where you can witness amazing sunrise view. After sunrise, we hike down for breakfast and continue trek towards Tadapani. DAY 7 - Trek to Ghandruk: - From Tadapani, we trek down to popular Gurung village - Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a popular destination for weekend relaxation for citizens of Pokhara. You can get gorgeous views of mountains from Ghandruk and also get to visit the Gurung Museum. DAY 8 - Trek to Nayapul: - This is the last day of trekking where we trek downhill to Nayapul from Ghandruk. From Nayapul, we drive back to Pokhara where we spend the night and rest after 5 days of trekking. DAY 9 - Drive back to Kathmandu: - We drive back to Kathmandu with many beautiful memories made throughout the trek. DAY 10 - Farewell & Departure: - After breakfast, you may have some time to get souvenirs and gifts from Nepal depending on your flight schedule. After that, we will drive to the airport where we bid you farewell.
