Day Trip to Ourika Waterfalls

As we move from Marrakesh to the Ourika Valley waterfalls on the first part of the trip, you may want to observe the lush green hillsides, Berber villages and hills. Here there are rivers meandering through the valley and there will be no end to the opportunities to capture some dramatic landscape shots on camera.

We will stop at some of these typical Berber villages to allow you to immerse yourself in the daily life of these locals. As we continue our drive through the valley we begin to approach the more mountainous passes in the Atlas Mountain range by heading towards Sitti Fatima. There are many small waterfalls (and some much larger ones) along the way here and not all of them are crowded with tourists.

Trip programme:

• Your private driver will pick you up at 9am from your hotel, villa or riad.

• On the way you can visit the Argan Oil Cooperative Society. You will also be able to admire and discover many Berber villages and the green landscape above.

• Arrive in Ourika Valley, and go on a hike to discover the seven waterfalls.

Take the opportunity to take some great photos and drink cold orange juice. Once you reach the falls, you can swim in the clear waters of the falls.

• Descend and return to the village through which the river passes.

• Enjoy lunch by the valley

• Return to Marrakesh around 4pm. Note: Remember to have comfortable shoes for climbing the waterfalls.
