Fez Sightseeing Tour : Visit the Medina with local guide

One of the notable landmarks is the University of Al Kairaouine, founded by Fatima al-Fihri in 859. It is believed to be one of the oldest universities in the world, but unfortunately, non-Muslim visitors are not permitted inside the university grounds. However, you can still admire the main gates and other entrances from the outside.

The medieval city of Fes El Bali, also known as "Old Fes," remains remarkably preserved. Fes is renowned for its tanneries, where the leatherwork is exquisite. However, be prepared for a strong odor and consider covering your nose with a scarf. You'll find leather products throughout the medina. Another architectural gem is the Dar Al Mekhzen, the entrance to the Royal Palace. The brass and gold gigantic doors, surrounded by intricate zellij tilework and carved cedar wood, showcase impeccable craftsmanship and breathtaking beauty.
