Grutas de Tolantongo is a developed natural river/canyon resort with plenty of space for camping and connecting with nature. Besides simply enjoying the atmosphere and unique scenery offered activities are zip lining, hiking (outside or in the river caves) and campfires. Escape the city and discover the stunning beauty of this natural park with access to all park facilities and a professional guide which can be always around. This experience is perfect for families and friends looking for a day of activities, adventure and relaxation in the naturally heated springs.
Enjoy one of the most impressive natural settings in Mexico, offering natural waterfalls, a grotto, a turquoise river and all year-round 38°C hot pools located at the steep walls of the canyon. Also discover the tunnels and landscape around with canyon walls ranking up to 500m high and a beach stretching nearly 1 km along the turquoise river. This place offers a perfect balance between nature, hospitality and fun, which would not be possible without a sense of community that appreciates and preserves its environment, providing a great travel experience.
Food will always be available at walking distance, but you can also bring your own. Only alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in bottles of plastic and cans are allowed in the venue of Grutas de Tolantongo.

Itinerary
After we pick you up from your accomodation in CDMX we will take a 4-5 hour drive to Grutas de Tolantongo. Arrived you will enjoy a day at this beautiful place offering many activities. Flexible on when you want to go we will leave Tolantongo to return to Mexico City (latest 5pm). As there are many points of interest on the way, these CAN BE INCLUDED - all flexible within the schedule of your trip. Optional stops are:
- Mineral del Chico Centro (walk trough the historic center)
- Mineral del Monte Centro (walk trough the historic center)
- Pachuca (Pisal de Byron Galvez (400x80m Marbel Artwork), Las Palmitas (colorful houses)
