What's included
Itinerary
Welcome!
Welcome! Our staff will welcome you upon arrival at the marina located in the Casa China Bacalar facilities. There you will receive all the information and equipment necessary for your 3-hour sailing adventure.
Cenote Esmeralda
We set sail from the pier and observe the Cenote Esmeralda; the largest of the entire lagoon with more than 70 meters deep.
Cenote Cocalitos
You have arrived at the stromatolites garden! Cenote Cocalitos is 90 meters deep and home to the stromatolite sanctuary. Stromatolites are ancestors of corals that date back to the origin of life on the planet. We tell you why they are so special and how to preserve them. Look, but don't touch.
Pirate Canal
Your next stop is the famous Pirate Canal, where the warm, shallow waters create an unforgettable setting. Here you will have the opportunity to swim and explore the area while we prepare a delicious fruit picnic. Can you imagine the battles against the pirates who tried to plunder the area almost 400 years ago?
Cenote Negro
You will enter the Cenote Negro, known locally as the Cenote de la Bruja (Witch's Cenote), a place full of fantasy and mystery. Its depth exceeds 100 meters so you will be able to appreciate a change of color in the water. From this site you will understand why it is known as the Lagoon of the Seven Colors.
Bird Island
The last stop before returning to the pier is Bird Island, a place where you can breathe peace and serenity among the symphony of birds. Depending on the season you will be able to appreciate the flight of migratory species while you dive into the crystal clear waters.
Return to Dock
Enjoy the breeze as you sail back to the dock.
