6 Days Serengeti Ngorongoro Lake Manyara Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will typically be transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Here, you can rest and prepare for your adventure. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore local markets or visit cultural sites.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

On the second day, you will travel to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is famous for its diverse habitats that include lush forests, open grasslands, and a soda lake. It is particularly known for its large population of elephants and tree-climbing lions. You can expect to see various bird species as well, including flamingos that flock to the lake during certain seasons. The day will involve game drives where you can observe wildlife in their natural habitat.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

The third day involves a trip to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater is one of the best places in Africa to see wildlife due to its high density of animals within a relatively small area. You will descend into the crater floor for a full-day game drive where you might encounter lions, rhinos, elephants, and various other species. The landscape is dramatic with steep walls surrounding the crater providing stunning views.

Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park

Days four and five are dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti National Park. This park is famous for its annual wildebeest migration which occurs between December and July when millions of wildebeests move in search of fresh grazing grounds. During your stay here, you will participate in game drives at different times of the day (morning and evening) to maximize wildlife sightings. The Serengeti’s expansive plains are home not only to wildebeests but also zebras, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, and many other species.

Day 6: Return to Arusha

On your final day of safari adventure, you will return from Serengeti back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule or further travel plans within Tanzania or beyond, there may be opportunities for additional activities such as visiting local villages or markets before heading back home.
