Private Hiking Tour to Lissos ancient town including boat ride

Starting from Chania, we will drive to Sougia, among remoted villages with great views to Lefka Ori (White Mountains) .

The 3,2 km hiking path (about 1½ h) starts from Sougia village and takes us to the ancient Lissos through the beautiful gorge. There are no roads going to Lissos. Spectacular geological formations and the smell of the herbs will give you the best welcome for this unique hike.

Arriving at ancient Lissos you will enjoy a traditional picnic table with local products just in front of the ancient healing spring that still offers fresh water.

You will walk around the ancient city, visit the remainings of the famous Asclepium (temple of health) and feel the energy of Lissos which was famous place at the ancient times for retreatment, recovery and good health with visitors from all over the known world.

Enjoy a refreshing swimm at the ancient beach just in front of Lissos before we get the boat to return to the small village Sougia. Enjoy a lunch , tasting great local food just in front of the South Cretan Sea, or just relax yourself at the beach. Return to Chania having lived a unique experience at south Crete.
