Day 1:

Wander through the historic Jamestown community, one of Accra's oldest districts and a pivotal site in the slave trade era, where you'll encounter the iconic James Fort and Ussher Fort, once used as holding facilities for enslaved individuals before their journey to the Americas. Day 2:
Start the day with a visit to Cape Coast, about a three-hour drive from Accra, and tour the Cape Coast Castle, a former slave-holding facility and the headquarters of the British Gold Coast. After a guided tour of the castle, head to the Cape Coast Castle Museum, which tells the harrowing story of the transatlantic slave trade from the African perspective. Visit the nearby Elmina Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and another significant slave trading post.
