Nice City Tour
Nestled between sea and mountains, this privileged location has been inhabited since prehistoric times.
We'll cross the centuries and the different civilizations around sites each more beautiful than the next.
We'll start in the old town, the heart of Nice with its narrow streets, its famous flower market with its thousand colors and fragrances, and climb up to the site of the ancient castle that protected the city in the Middle Ages. We'll stop off at the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas, one of the largest in Europe.
Then we'll finish off at the Roman site of Cemenelum. Today, it's a park filled with olive trees, Roman ruins and a colosseum where Nice families come on Sundays to picnic and play pétanque. We'll share a "traditional picnic" with local specialities, and if you're interested, I'll offer an introduction to this national sport.
