Unique: 1-Day Luxury Cruise: Luxor-Dendera guided tour Hathor Temple
The Luxury Cruise: You will be picked up from your Luxor Accommodation and brought to the Lotus Cruise ship to sail north to Dendera while you take in the beauty of the Majestic river Nile. Enjoy the scenery on the Nile shores, the vegetation, villages and birdlife. After your visit to the Hathor Temple, back on board, a beautiful buffet lunch is served while sailing back south. Just before arriving in Luxor, you will witness a marvelous sunset while enjoying a cup of coffee/tea. You will be dropped off at your Luxor Accommodation.
The Hathor Temple: At Dendera your guide takes you to the Hathor Temple, built in the 1st century BC by Ptolemy VIII and Queen Cleopatra II It is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to Hathor, Goddess and mother of the Pharaoh, representing maternity, love, music and the celestial. The Goddess is represented, with the horns of the sacred cow supporting the solar disc of the sun. You can visit the crypt and 2 staircases lead to the roof where you will find (a copy of) the famous Dendera Zodiac (the original rests in the Louvre in Paris) beautifully decorated with symbols of the 12 months of the year. The temple has been recently restored and cleaned and will give you a feeling of walking through ancient history.

- 07.00am: the Lotus Cruise is sailing North towards Dendera. You can use all facilities of the boat; you can even have a quick swim in the small sundeck pool.
- 12.00: arrival at Dendera and transfer to the Hathor Temple where you get a full guided tour (English).
- 14.00: back on board a lunch buffet is served in the Lotus Restaurant while sailing south to Luxor.
- Sunset time: Coffee and Tea is served on the sundeck where you can experience a magical sunset over the majestic river Nile.
- 19.00: docking and transfer to your Luxor Accommodation.
