So far, over 400 tombs have been discovered and excavation is still ongoing. You will descend into 2 tombs, decorated with quality scenes of every day family-, religious- and palace life.
- Visit the mortuary temple of Ramses II, his "house of a million years", with the remains of a 19m tall statue of Ramses the Great and remnants of the temple kitchens, schools and stores. The temple walls depict his victory at the Battle of Kadesh and the war against the Hittites.
