In the Yuan Dynasty (1272-1368), the Juyong Pass functioned as a major traffic artery from Beijing to Inner Mongolia. From the 14th to the early 20th century, a large number of temples and shrines of Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucianist origin were built in the Juyong Pass. Learn many interesting facts and stories about this section of the Great Wall with your tour guide. Spend about 2 hours here.

After a delicious lunch in the local restaurant, continue to the Sacred Way of the Ming Tombs.

Stroll along the Sacred Way with your tour guide, admire 18 pairs of marble figures lined up, gain deep insight into the Fengshui theory which practiced at the Ming Tombs and learn more stories about the Ming Dynasty.

Continue to the Dingling underground palace at the Ming Tombs. Construction of Dingling Tomb started in 1584 and was finished in 6 years later. In 1620, Emperor Wanli was buried here with his two empresses. Get to know the story of the emperor and understand why there are two empresses were berried here. Next, explore two museums to see the treasures found from the underground palace before walk into the underground palace and experience the massive tomb with five chambers.
