Siem Reap is top tourist destiny in Cambodia and there hundreds of the Ancient temple, Kulen waterfall and Tonle Sap lake (floating village).

These are the main temples in Angkor Archeological Park;

  • Angkor Wat was built in 1113 till 1150 by the Hinduism King Suryavarman II, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
  • Bayon Temple was built in 1181 till 1218 by the Buddhism King Jayavarman VII as the state temple.
  • Angkor Thom was built by the Buddhism King Jayavarman VII in the land area 9 square kilometres.
  • Ta Keo Temple was built by the Hinduism King Jayavarman V, early 11 century (around 1000A.D.)as the state temple and dedicated to Lord Shiva.
  • Ta Prohm Temple was built by the Buddhism King Jayavarman VII in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries(completed 1186 A.D.) and originally called Rajavihara, dedicated to king's mother Sri Jayarajacudamani (deity Prajnaparamita).
  • Preah Khan Temple was built by the Buddhism king Jayavarman VII on the site of Jayavarman VII's victory over the invading Chams in 1191 and dedicated to King's father Dharanidravarman II (deity Budhisattva Avalokitesvara).
  • Neak Pean Temple was built during the reign of the King Jayavarman VII on the circular island in Jayatataka Baray.
  • Ta Som Temple was built at the end of 12th century by the Buddhism King Jayavarman VII.
  • East Mebon Temple was built during the reign of king Rajendravarman on the artificial island at the centre of the now dry East Baray reservoir, dedicated to Hindu God Shiva in 10th century (953 A.D.).
  • Pre Rup Temple was built during the reign of King Rajendravarman and dedicated to Hindu God Shiva in early 962 A.D.
  • Banteay Srei Temple was built in 10th century (967A.D.), dedicated to Hindu God Shiva. This temple was built by Visnukumara and Yajnavaraha, who served as a counsellor to the King Rajadravarman II.
  • Preah Ko Temple was built by King Indravarman I in 879 to honor members of the king's family, whom its place relation with Hindu deity Shiva.
  • Bakong Temple was built by the King Indravarman I in 881 as the state temple and dedicated to Hindu god Shiva.
  • Lolei Temple was built by the Kin Yasovarman I in 893 to honor members of the king's family, whom its place relation with Hindu deity Shiva in the center of the dry Indratataka Baray.
  • Phnom Kulen is a gorgeous day out. The main attraction is the waterfalls at the top of Kulen Mountain and it’s also a great picnic spot; well set up in Cambodian style with hammocks and shelters to keep you shaded from the sun. It’s around 1.5-2 hours drive from Siem Reap and if you go all the way to the top by van or car, you need to get there early, as the road is one-way traffic only. you would also visit Preah Ang Thom pagoda with its giant reclining Buddha and a thousand Lingas in river bed.
  • Kbal Spean, the site consists of a thousand Lingas in the river bed and including depiction of gods Shiva, Vishnu, Lakshmi, Rama and Hanuman, as well as animals (cows and frogs).Its about 5 kilometers north Banteay Srei temple and about 40 minutes walks through the forest for about 2 kilometers uphill along the path before reaching the first site, a waterfall, where the carved sculptures start appearing in the river bed.
