Mount Guaza is located just right to the North-East from Los Cristianos and it's ideal destination to do a beautiful hike by yourself, if you stay in Los Cristianos, Las Americas or in Costa Adeje. Mt Guaza is one of the most exponed to the touristic zones volcanic mountains in Tenerife. On the trail to the top of Mount Guaza you can even find the rests of activity of Guanches - native people of Canary Island that were living here before Spain took control over the islands. These rests are caves, huts and burial sites. The mountain of Guaza is rising over 400 meters above the sea level, and it consists of two concentric craters. During its eruption, viscous lavas emerged from the land and flown to the ocean forming the are known as Plains of Guaza and the cliff called now Palm Mar Wall. From the summit of Mt Guaza you have an amazing panoramic 360 degrees views for tens of kilometres. The hike from Los Criatianos and back will take you approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.
