Depart Barcelona 3:30am, Please arrival 1 hour early for check in. Estimated arrival to Bunol for 8:30am, ready for the pre-fight sangria bar/ wine fight. At 10am the crowd scrambles to reach a leg of ham balanced on a 5m high wooden pole, when someone reaches this ham the fight begins! However, in the last 8 years no-one has been lucky enough to win this coverted prize so after an hour of climbing and falling a rocket is launched (at 11am) and trucks carrying tonnes and tonnes of tomatos through the street. An hour of absolute carnarge throwing fleshy fruit at strangers, friends, family, locals and tourists alike. Following the fight head back towards the buses, stopping to be rinsed for a coin donation by locals with their garden hoses. Once you arrive to the Stoke Travel La Tomatina campsite the afternoon is yours, make the most of our €5 unlimited beer and sangria bar, chill at the pool, or rinse all of the tomatos from your hair (and ears) at the local beach, just 2 mins walk from camp. At 7pm your bus will depart the camp with an estimated arrival back in Barcelona for early morning on August 30. We’d recommend not booking any transport until mid-morning/lunchtime in case of traffic.
