As soon as you will enter Vallehermoso, magnificent mountains and massive rocks called Roque Cano Monument will attract you. Vallehermoso has a population of around 3000 people and is considered as the second-largest municipality of La Gomera. Presence of old as well as new buildings in Canarian style adds charm to it. Lovely cafes serve your drink.

Natural sceneries and the interaction with the locals make your trip memorable. Iglesia San Juan de Bautista, built-in Canarian style, is also a place worth to check it out. Agricultural record of the town adds beauty into it as fruit trees and plants like papayas, apricots, and bananas are abundant. Local vendors sell the fruits of such trees that can be bought from the market just a bit away from the main square. A botanical garden built in 2000 has species of all types from various parts of the Canary Islands.

A small beach near to the town, Playa de Vallehermoso, offers swimming and sunbath opportunities to the locals as well as village visitors. This is a great place to relax. A playground just a few yards away from the main square can be availed by your children to spent their time while playing local games.

If you are looking to stay in the town then Casa Rural El Palmar is the best place for that purpose. It can be accessed only by walking, not by car. You can avail Morera also, a sort of cottage facility, close to markets for accommodation. Local restaurants offer the finest coffee and traditional Canarian dishes to the visitors. Vallehermoso must be on your list if you are planning to visit La Gomera, one of the less populated islands of the Canary Islands.
